Learn to Swim to Survive - Don't Just Learn to Survive

We Teach Everyone to SWIM to SURVIVE
not Just to SURVIVE!

John Believes that:
"The Distance Swum is Not Relevant;
Important is the Swimmer's Relationship with the Water at Any One Moment"

At JSSS Learning to "SWIM" means Teaching Everyone how to:

  • Relax

  • Float

  • Balance in Water

  • Smile Instead of Panic

  • Swim Quietly & Calmly

  • Swim & Not Get Tired

  • Swim Fast But Look Slow

  • Achieve Butterfly Calmly

  • Breathe to Swim Not Breathe to Survive

John's motivation to teach and coach swimming as well as
own and run a swim school is simple:
The desire to provide others, with the life skills to move comfortably & calmly through water with efficiency and speed
at any age!!

About Children
"We start teaching at 3 years of age at JSSS.  As they move through the dedicated 9 levels designed by JSSS, each child is keenly observed and assessed as they grow and develop within each of these levels.  We are passionate at making the lessons creative in language, more so than in games. This approach provides an effective, calm and enjoyable teaching environment for both parents and their children.
Finally, as the children enter the New Intermediate level this opens the door to experiencing for FREE the JSSS Relay Event which takes place 2 times a year.  This Relay Event is a significant highlight for JSSS teachers as they watch their swimmers having FUN in a Competitive arena with Technique still the upmost importance.  This is reflected by our Personal Achievement Awards we give out."

About Adults
"I have developed an equally exciting passion to help adults, as much as children conquer their fear, anxiety and nervousness in learning to swim through calm, quiet often non-traditional swimming routines.  This has moved into squad swimming and helping adults achieve the many squad targets.
The interest in adults has evolved into holding an Annual Awards Evening for all my adult clients, whereby, I can acknowledge those adults which have made significant gains in their skill development.  2008 JSSS will hold it's 10th Annual Awards Evening.
This development may range from someone learning to swim 25 meters to someone conquering their fear of open water swimming, to an advanced squad swimmer breaking a 400 meter personal best time (PB).  Awards range from Personal Achievement Awards, Inspirational Awards through to The Outstanding Achievement  Award for each season.  I find this to be one of my most rewarding experiences throughout the year, as a teacher and coach."
